The three-color Ramsey number R(3,3,3) equals 17.

46d old

Evidence

citation Greenwood & Gleason (1955) exhibited a 3-coloring of K_16 with no monochromatic triangle (each color class is a copy of the Clebsch graph, built over GF(16)) and proved every 3-coloring of K_17 contains one. This remains the only nontrivial classical multicolor Ramsey number known exactly (survey DS1, section 6).
